I'm Simon Helm, and this is my work.

I'm a visual artist currently working as Head of Art & AI at Fold7, London.

Previously I have worked as a creative in Premium & Luxury sectors for brands like Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Gucci, Haagen Dazs, Emirates & 1664 Blanc. I’ve also worked as a creative in youth and music sectors for clients such as MTV, Nike, Selfridges, Converse, Ministry of Sound, EMI, Parlophone & Virgin Records. I have worked both client-side and agency-side for huge brands and small studios as an art director, hybrid creative, design director, head of design, head of art and a creative director.

I believe every creative idea deserves the best visual direction. I also believe the best visual work can be the creative answer.

Above everything I have great consideration for consumer’s time and attention. For this valuable attention, I think people deserve a beautifully crafted, engaging, exciting and enjoyable reward.

This drives clarity and simplicity, emotion and connection, surprise and talkability, joy and affinity throughout my work, with an impeccable eye for detail and an overly obsessive focus on craft. 

Visual culture has real power, to change, to influence,
to entertain and to inspire.

This is what I work for, it's what keeps me up at night and
what wakes me up in the morning.
(so basically thanks to this obsession, I don’t get much sleep)
